IWPA IMP and the Mtubatuba IDP

The IWPA (iSimanagliso Wetland Park Authority) has been mandated by various different laws and acts to implement an IMP (Integrated Management Plan) and we will be looking at some of these during the next few weeks, starting with the WHCA (World Heritage Convention Act)

In chapter4 section 25 of the world heritage convention act  (WHCA) this is clearly defined, and the IWPA (iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority) is mandated to :

1. submit an IMP (Integrated Management Plan) to the minister on an annual basis
2. consult with surrounding communities in their development of, as well as annual update of their IMP (Integrated Management Plan) register here
3. consult with local land owners in the initial development of their IMP (Integrated Management plan) as well as during their annual up date of their Integrated management plan register here

The IWPA (iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority) has failed to do this, and failed to include the mandated public participation process reports associated with their zonation issues and their zonation procedures as well as their zonation maps within the Mtubatuba Local Municipality IDP (Integrated Development Plan)

I know this because I personally (Frank Gainsford)  posed questions about these issues at the Mtubatuba IDP (Integrated Development Plan) PRF (Public Representatives Forum)

They (iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority) have failed to do this, and neglected to hold PPP (Public Participation Process) meetings and need to be taken to task by the minister, how ever since the IWPA (iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority) is being protected by the Minister we need to take these issues up at the parliamentary level.

To do this we need the public to be standing behind us. So this means we need your support to ensure that the IWPA ( iSimangaliso wetland Park Authority) generates their annual reports and update of their IMP (Integrated Management Plan) accordingly.

Please register as an IAP (interested and Affected Party) in connection with the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority's Integrated Management Plan, and ask your friends, family and every body you work with to register as well.
